Jim Spence is the Founder and Executive Director of Sports Quest. Jim moved to Houston from the UK in 1992 to pursue soccer ministry. Jim is a highly qualified soccer coach with the following credentials:

Debbie Spence is a Co-Founder and Operations Manager and is responsible for day-to-day administrative, communications and financial operations for Sports Quest. Debbie is also responsible for:
• Scheduling
• Online registration
• Website management
• Fundraising
• Marketing and promotions
• Accounting
• Payroll
• Human Resources
Eric Cowpersmith is responsible for enhancing the different facets of Sports Quest, expanding its reach and influence, and empowering the staff and volunteers. He is a Houston native and has been involved in local ministry throughout the city for 17 years with a focus on student ministry and outreach to underserved communities. Eric’s previous experience includes working as an Operations Manager for a custom furniture manufacturer and as the Associate Children’s Director at Houston’s First Baptist Church – Cypress. He is also bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish fluently, and is a massive soccer fan.
Isaac Taylor has been involved with Sports Quest for over six years now and currently works as a site coach for 4ONE and a head coach during summer camps. Starting as a volunteer, Isaac has worked in many capacities within the organization and gained valuable experience coaching alongside many of Sports Quest’s best. He possesses a grassroots coaching license through US Soccer and has a wealth of experience coaching kids from kindergarten through middle-school. Isaac has accompanied Sports Quest on mission trips, participated in outreach camps, and assisted at coaches clinics and hopes to continue to aid Sports Quest in it’s ultimate goal of spreading the good news of Christ through soccer.
Madison Wahl plays a vital role in the day to day operations of Sports Quest. Born and raised in Texas, Madison developed a love for soccer as a 5 year old, and played club ball with Cy Fair Dynamos through the age of 16. She is a former Varsity player at Cypress Christian School, captaining her team in both her Junior and Senior years. As a Freshman, she received the highly esteemed “Timothy Award” for her contribution to the team. Madison loves working with children of all ages. When she’s not on the field, Madison is the key point of contact for Sports Quest’s 4ONE program, as well as summer camps. Her constant communication with site coordinators, coaches and parents makes her a valuable asset to Sports Quest. Madison is currently studying Business Management at Lone Star College.
